Knoxville’s Lakeshore Park

With 183 scenic acres, Lakeshore Park is Knoxville’s most visited park. The East Tennessee Hospital for the Insane, later renamed Lakeshore Mental Health Institute, operated for over 125 years and closed in 2013. The city worked with the conservancy to preserve the park and the building and now there are walking trails, sports fields, a playground, and beautiful monuments and pavilions. The rolling hillsides make for a perfect picnic area with a beautiful view of the Tennessee River.

Pictured below are the institute and the gorgeous Marble Hall that hosts parties, weddings, and other special events.

Behind The Scenes

Behind the scenes quickly became my favorite form of photography after being part of the short movie set of The Kingdom of LeRoy. The movie was produced by a team of actors and producers from Atlanta, Georgia and also featured a couple of actors from Knoxville, Tennessee; and Patton Productions with video. This scene was photographed at Downtown Knoxville’s Island Home Airport DKX. Below are just a few of my favorites from that day!

Knoxville’s Dogwood Arts House & Garden Show

Knoxville, Tennessee hosts it’s annual Dogwood Art’s House & Garden Show with vendors for interior design, home improvement, and a Maker’s Market featuring some of our favorite local artists. From DIY demonstrations to full blown garden exhibits, this show will certainly get you in the mood for Spring!
Below are a few photos of what this awesome show has to offer!

The Sparkle of Downtown Knoxville

This photo of Downtown Knoxville, Tennessee had been an image of mine for almost a year. Every time I drove by it, all I could imagine were these starbursts from the Gay Street Bridge and the highlighting of the Knox County Courthouse. My image finally came to life and I could not have been any more pleased with the turnout. I have this printed on metallic paper and the finish makes it shine!

This image is for sale. If you are interested, please contact me, as I would love to give this piece a beautiful place to display.

I have a specific Instagram for all of my photos taken around Knoxville at Night. Fittingly titled knoxatnight.

Surprise Proposal in Downtown Knoxville!

Surprise Proposal in Downtown Knoxville!

Cory and Peyton’s mom contacted me to photograph when Cory proposed to Peyton. His main objective was to get the Tennessee Theater sign on S Gay St. in Downtown Knoxville in the background. We planned the entire thing without her knowledge. A few days prior, I went Downtown to scope the perfect spot out and Cory pulled off the proposal seamlessly!
Peyton was beyond ecstatic

The Sunshpere in Downtown Knoxville, TN

The Sunsphere is Knoxville, Tennessee’s most beautiful icon! I am so fortunate to be from East TN! Spring has sprung, warmer weather has arrived, and I am venturing out more with my camera.
Man, night photography is my all-time favorite! The photo overlooking Downtown was taken from the 9th floor of the Langley Parking Garage.
