Before the Storm

An early morning photo stroll down Gay Street before the first storm rolled in made for a moody experience. I was glad the street lamps were still on, contrasting with the darkening skies. Timing is everything, and while walking through the quiet streets, I aimed to capture the light from the lamps against the stormy clouds.

Johnson Family

As a photographer, every session brings something special, but working with this family was an absolute joy! From the moment we met, their energy was infectious, and you could instantly feel the love they have for one another. It’s families like these that remind me why I love what I do.

We decided to do the session right in the heart of downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, and it couldn’t have been a better setting! The blend of urban charm and historic spots gave us the perfect backdrop for capturing their fun personalities. From Market Square to the scenic streets, every location added something unique to their already beautiful vibe.

Not only were they a blast to work with, but they were also just so naturally beautiful—inside and out! Their smiles, laughter, and playful spirit made it easy to capture candid, heartwarming moments. They had this incredible way of making each shot fun, relaxed, and full of personality.

To this sweet family: thank you for letting me capture your love! You made my job so easy and so much fun. I’m already looking forward to the next time we can work together!

Flowers of the Rain

I’ve always been amazed by nature, especially on rainy and cloudy days. The raindrops on flower petals look beautiful, reflecting the soft light from the cloudy sky. It’s like nature is showing off its ability to amaze and inspire those who take the time to notice. Also, the changing light and shadows from the clouds make everything look dramatic. It’s like nature is putting on a show for anyone who stops to admire its wonders.

Twin Arches- Defying Magnificence

The beauty of life and exploring is that sometimes you can’t digitally capture what the eye sees. There are so many magnificent things to see in real life that just can’t be recreated. It’s easier to carry my camera in hand on hikes because I never know what will catch my eye, but there are times where I just don’t even attempt the photo for this reason. Twin Arches offered many of these opportunities to just enjoy what nature had to offer. This hike is located in Big South Fork and is part of the National Park service. Encompassing over 125, 000 acres in Tennessee and Kentucky, this area offers every type of recreation for those adventure seekers.
